Vintage is in – and city breaks in particular, are an ideal opportunity for strolling around the
flea markets, spending hours trawling through bric-à-brac stalls and picking up a bargain in the
second-hand shops.
Hamburg has a whole series of atmospheric flea and antique markets. The flea market in the heart
of the city, for example, attracts bargain hunters in their droves from April to October. Traders set
up their stalls every Saturday between 9am and 5pm right next to the famous hot-air balloon
and Deichtorhallen exhibition hall.
