Discovering the unheard from classical music to Bond.
The third-largest music festival in Germany, the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Festival has long enjoyed a reputation as an internationally acclaimed event. From 10 June to 11 September visitors will flock to the region to experience the aural delights of the new theme ‘Unerhörtes entdecken’ (discover the unheard). The event will bring talented newcomers from all over the world to Heiligendamm.
The Hangzouh Philharmonic Orchestra from Asia will give its European première.
Other performers include the Emerson String Quartet from New York, star bandonéon player Carel Kraayenhof, the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and legendary pianist Martha Argerich.
Meanwhile, in the Land Fleesensee region, the James Bond Gala presents a programme of film music from ‘Dr. No’ to ‘Quantum of Solace’.
