Biathlon, one of the most exciting, most engaging winter sports, is now a real crowd puller. So, when the world‘s elite biathletes battle it out in Ruhpolding from 1 to 11 March 2012, the atmosphere
will be electric, with thousands of spectators spurring them on along the course and tension rising in the shooting range.
The Chiemgau Arena is one of the world’s most modern biathlon stadiums, offering ideal conditions for the athletes who will line up at the start for eight individual races and three relays. Promising to be more spectacular than ever before, there will be a grand opening ceremony on 29 February 2012, a daily programme of entertainment on the town centre stage and a night with the biathlon stars in
Champions Park, where the victory ceremonies take place.
