Freimarkt Festival in Bremen

Over 950 years mark what is known as one of Germany’s oldest civic festivals. Not satisfied with the fairground, the city’s ‘fifth season’ spreads out into the entire city, featuring music, dance and events in public houses and
the historic Ratskeller (Wine Cellar). Opening hours are daily from 1 pm to 11 pm, Friday and Saturday until 12 pm.

Bremen Ratskeller wine tasting

The cellar of Bremen‘s town hall, designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2004, has been used to store fine wines since 1405. Today, the Ratskeller holds possibly the world‘s largest collection of German wines, with around 1,200 labels.
