200 years Munich Oktoberfest

In October 1810 the festival took place for the first time to celebrate the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig (later to become King Ludwig I) and Princess Therese of Saxony. This 16-day festival is held each year in Munich (September 18 – October 3, 2010) and is the world’s largest fair, with some six million people attending every year.
